God is SO good.

So here is the story...

My God is big. Tornado is my middle baby. Friday the 12th we took him to Vanderbilt. We took him for hernia surgery. Now to me this was huge, to them it is an everyday thing. Try as they could they could only comfort me so far. This is when I say God stepped in, but I know He was at work much sooner. So we got him up at 5.15am and drove him to Vandy. Just a little pit stop to pick up a very dear friend. She had been through this many times before and was going to be there to walk us through it, pray, cry and whatever else we needed. We got to Vandy at 6.00 and checked in. Tornado was still doing great, only asked for cup once. This was a true blessing. I had a huge fear that he would be begging for his poptart and cup. You know that sweet little voice just saying please over and over again, but God was bigger. He so had even this little thing under control. Next we wait, 7.30 they call us back to the holding area. We prayed with Tracy and she left us to wait on her own. Thanks again Tracy! Now more waiting. His surgery was scheduled for 8.00, but they did not take him back until almost 9.00. Again God was there, He kept us all calm. We dressed him in his champ Pj's, played "Connect Four" and "Simon Says", T never asking why or what am I doing here. After a quick meet with all the Doctors T just took the nurses hand and walked away. God is so good. My little boy is Gods little boy and I know He went with him. We headed back out to the waiting area. Got Tracy and headed down stairs for breakfast. By the time we got back he was in recovery. Here is were we said our goodbyes to Tracy and let her got get he little guy. They took us back to see him in recovery. My heart skipped a beat when I say him. So little in that bed with a IV. Again God was there, He gave me strength and comfort so that I could be there for my little man. I know God was holding on to him through me. It was awesome!

So now we spent a couple of hours waking up. They let us go at 3.00. Home we came and cuddled in our big king bed. Again God showed up, not once did little man complain about pain. He is so brave and a trooper! Tornado got lots of love for his brother, sister and Tutu. Now here we are three days later and you would not knoe that he had surgery! Well if you change his diaper you can tell, but that is the only way. God has blessed him with quick recovery, great rest and very little pain. God is so Good! We are so thankful for all the prayers! We ask you to know turn your prayers to all the ones who are still at Vandy. There are so many moms, dads with thier kids who are having things done at Vandy, it just blows my mind. So we need to be in prayer for them. They need to know that God is Big. We love you all and we could never thank you enough.
